Track & Field 100th Anniversary Celebration – REGISTER NOW!
JOIN US: Please join us as we mark 100 Years of Stanner Track & Field! A celebratory event will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025. There will be food and drink, speeches, and many laughs to be had by all!
HISTORY: The first Stanner Track & Field team competed during the 1924-25 year at St. Ann’s Academy. Since then, we have grown across two schools and won an immense number of team titles, gained national acclaim, and most importantly, built relationships that have lasted for life. This dedicated group of men and women – guided by generations of outstanding coaches – has built a family. We look forward to celebrating the legacy of the Stanner Track & Field community.

Even though Giving Day is over, you can continue to support Molloy and our students! Visit the Donation Page on our website by clicking the image above, where you can give to the Fund for Molloy or choose a Named Scholarship! Thank you for all you do to propel our students toward bright futures.
Molloy’s Latest One-Day Sophomore Retreat
In October, members of the Class of 2027 participated in their One-Day Sophomore Retreat! Stanners focused on the Marist Pillar of Presence and reflected on how they can be more present in their lives and relationships. Ms. Staiano gave a wonderful talk, students participated in a rotation of activities, and there was even a visit from Giancarlo Bernini, a magician who performed a magic routine that taught an inspiring message: we are most present when we are able to understand ourselves. In addition, sophomores brought in donation items that will be used during a Midnight Run benefiting homeless New Yorkers this December. Thank you to the student leaders who volunteered throughout the day, the faculty moderators, Campus Ministry, and of course, the Class of 2027 for their participation.
Italian Club Dessert Contest
On November 4th, Molloy’s Italian Club hosted a Dessert Contest! Club members submitted an assortment of delicious homemade Italian treats. Those in attendance got to sample tiramisu, cannolis, and pizzelles, as well as an array of cookies such as anise, amaretti, almond, rainbow, ricotta, pignoli, bowtie, lemon, and Italian wedding. Three faculty judges, including Ms. Christie, Ms. Federico, and Ms. Belen-Kelly, sampled each treat and later announced the winners. Congratulations to: 3rd Place – Raymond T. ’26 and his pignoli cookies; 2nd Place – Megan C. ’26 and her ricotta cookies; 1st Place – Aurora T. ’28 and Alessio T. ’26 and their almond cookies! Each of the top three winners received a Dunkin’ gift card. Special thanks to Italian Club moderator Ms. Laura Bisceglia.

A Great Time Had by All at Molloy Oktoberfest!
Over 300 alumni, parents, and friends were in attendance at Molloy’s Oktoberfest on Friday, October 25th! Guests enjoyed a night of food, live music, and dance performances, bringing the spirit of Germany straight to Briarwood.
The band, Die Spitzbaum, played popular German music that had the crowd on their feet, while the dancers, Die Erste Gottscheer Tanzgruppe, had everyone engaged while performing classic German/Austrian dances. With a traditional spread of German food and Hofbräu beer on tap, the night truly was one to remember!
A special shout-out to our Stein-holding competition winners: Katie Twomey for the ladies, and Pete Stamm ‘07 with a back-to-back win for the men. We had a great turnout for the stein holding competition this year, with new records set for both rounds! Guests could also buy raffle tickets to win a 50/50 cash prize and other Hofbräu-themed prizes, or they could buy original Molloy Oktoberfest t-shirts!
Molloy’s Engagement Coordinator and planner of the event Rebecca Wagner ‘14 says, “It was wonderful to see Oktoberfest grow even bigger this year! I love being able to share my culture with those in the Molloy community. I’m so grateful for all of the support I have to make it as successful as it is.”
Thank you to all who attended the event. We can’t wait to see you next year! Prost!
