<\/a><\/h2>\nTo all who champion the Mission of Molloy, we are truly blessed and grateful for the continued support to our scholarship programs<\/a><\/span>, the Stanner Golf Classic<\/a><\/span>, and our Annual Fund \u2013 The Fund For Molloy<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n We wish to give a special thanks to every alum, parent and friend who participated in the Stanner Gift Challenge this Christmas season. Thanks to your support, plus the matching gift challenge of $40,000 from an anonymous alumnus, over $109,000 was raised as a result of our challenge! The support provided through The Fund For Molloy is critical to $250,000 in capital projects and<\/em> the $250,000 reserved for needs assistance for the 2014-2015 academic year (see pie chart for further details on FFM goals).<\/p>\n The gifts received from the Stanner community through The Fund For Molloy provide the financial flexibility to address $7 million in capital projects identified to be completed by 2021, help keep tuition affordable, and ensure Molloy has the ability to help students with extraordinary financial or personal needs.<\/p>\n Gifts to Molloy help to facilitate the dream of a great education for our current and future students as well as our school’s ability to provide opportunities to help our local and world communities through our many student service projects. As the end of 2014 approaches, now is a great time to make a charitable gift to Archbishop Molloy High School<\/a><\/span>. Sed Vitae<\/em>!<\/p>\n Archbishop Molloy High School is very proud to announce that its Girls Varsity Basketball team is currently ranked #1 in New York State. The team has been lights out as of late, and even secured a “signature win” en route to the ranking on December 21st against Long Island Lutheran (MSG Varsity Article<\/a>). In addition, Molloy is also proud to announce that senior Jared Lovelace ’15<\/strong> is currently ranked #1 in the nation in the triple jump.<\/p>\n Join Molloy alumni and friends at the legendary Carnesecca Arena at St. John’s University as the St. John’s Mens’ basketball squad takes on rival Butler. Through a special promotion in collaboration with the alumni association of St. John’s, Stanners using a special promo code will enjoy $20 tickets. You are also invited to attend a reception before the game in nearby Bent Hall in Room 277 A\/B at 2:00 pm. There may be several VIPs at the reception as well. The game will begin at 4:00 pm. Tickets are only sold through Ticketmaster.<\/p>\n Each year, Stanners gather for the Br. Ron Marcellin Scholarship Dinner & Raffle to pay tribute to the memory a great Marist Brother. Br. Ron Marcellin \u201852<\/strong> was a kind, caring person who created his own style of teaching the Marist Charism. He dedicated his life to educating young people, in many instances lending special guidance to students most in need. Br. Ron instilled many fine qualities in his students including self-respect, confidence, and the power to be proactive in their community. Beyond the classroom, Br. Ron made a tremendous impact on the lives of young Stanners, particularly through his work in the SMILE program. Sadly, the Stanner community lost Br. Ron in 1993 after a brave fight against cancer. His spirit continues to live on in the hearts and minds everyone he inspired.<\/p>\n Money raised at this event will directly fund The Brother Ron Marcellin Memorial Scholarship, which provides financial assistance to deserving Molloy students and ensures funding for the mental health and well-being of a student in need. We anticipate there will be great auction prizes up for bidding as well as a 50\/50 raffle that has seen winners take home $3,000 or more!
