On behalf of everyone at Molloy, the Stanner Alumni Center extends our sincerest thanks to everyone who supported the 38th Annual Jim Kinnier Stanner Golf Classic. With beautiful weather and a record number of golfers – over 450 golfers!<\/strong> – this year’s outing was a historic success! Our golfers had a great day out on the links on four private courses, and all enjoyed an array of delicious meals, outstanding prizes, friendship and camaraderie, and so much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you to this year\u2019s Chairperson, Michael Shea ’02<\/strong>, and our Honorary Chairperson, Robert O’Donohue ’94<\/strong>, for their hard work in making this year\u2019s outing such an amazing day. Thank you to everyone who supported the outing, whether by participating as a golfer or sponsor, purchasing a raffle ticket, placing a bid, or making a donation. Thank you to the Kinnier and Gibbons families for your continued support, and thank you to our volunteers, who filled many important roles throughout the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will have more coverage of the Jim Kinnier Stanner Golf Classic in an upcoming Beehive<\/em>, including photo galleries and total money raised. Once again, thank you for your support!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seniors attended school on Monday, May 20th participating in a special dress down: College Sweatshirt Day! Members of the Class of 2024 proudly showcased the college or university they\u2019re going to be attending in the fall, wearing either a t-shirt, sweatshirt, or other apparel. Some schools that made an appearance were St. John\u2019s University, Boston College, Cornell University, MIT, the US Naval Academy, Clemson, Columbia University, NYU, Northwestern University, and the University of Scranton! Molloy is so proud of the Class of 2024 and everything they have accomplished! Stay tuned for more news about the Class of 2024 in the next Beehive<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Community Supports Girls’ Leadership Scholarship Fund at Radio Bingo<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Friday, May 3rd, Molloy\u2019s GERLL (Girls’ Empowerment for Real Life Leadership) Club hosted the ever-so-fun Radio Bingo! A crossover between Bingo and Name-that-Tune, Radio Bingo offered the Molloy community a chance to sing, dance, win prizes, and most importantly, support the Girls\u2019 Leadership Scholarship Fund!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the night, DJ\u2019s @ Work played songs that were found on Bingo cards. They encouraged guests to get up and dance, sing, and let loose for a night! Members of the GERLL Club sold t-shirts, food, and raffle tickets to help raise money for future female Stanners. Co-moderator of GERLL Club Ms. Sabina Kobinski \u201804<\/strong> says, \u201cHaving the GERLL club to put Ms. Kerry Henning<\/strong> (other GERLL Club moderator) and I at ease is great because we know that they would put in 110%.\u201d The night ended with a 50\/50 raffle and auctioned off baskets, with all proceeds supporting the Girls\u2019 Leadership Scholarship Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Girls\u2019 Leadership Scholarship Fund was created by female faculty to help support and educate female students who might not be able to afford Molloy\u2019s tuition. Within the walls of Molloy, the GERLL Club acts as a space that facilitates and perpetuates female empowerment. Many among the Molloy community volunteered their time, made raffle baskets, and promoted the event to ensure maximum support for a wonderful cause. Ms. Kobinski says, \u201cIt\u2019s beautiful to see so many of our faculty, staff, and clubs come together to put on this event. We are so grateful for our \u2018beehive\u2019 of supporters.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
