Habemus Papam!
With great joy, we join fellow Marists and Catholics around the world in celebrating the election of Pope Leo XIV as our new Holy Father. We pray for him as he begins this ministry as the Vicar of Christ and the Bishop of Rome. May he be for us a visible witness of living the Gospel and help heal the many divisions in our world. May he also keep our focus on those living on the peripheries and those who feel marginalized.
In his first words to us, Pope Leo spoke of the peace that is the gift of the Lord Jesus. May God allow him the grace to bring that peace into the lives of so many who need us today. We ask God’s blessings on his journey ahead in leading our Church. --- Marist Brothers USA
