August 15th marked the Feast Day of the Assumption of Mary, when Mary was welcomed into heaven body and soul. As Marist Brothers and Lay Marists, we celebrate this feast day each year knowing that we are all called to walk in the way of Mary—to embrace humility and to do good quietly.

Br. Dan O'Riordan '85, US Provincial, shares, "As we celebrate this day, we can be confident that Mary continues to walk with us in all things as she remains our Ordinary Resource. She is no doubt pleased to see our Marist Mission, which she entrusted to Marcellin, continue to grow and expand in so many exciting ways. How could she not be filled with joy in knowing four of our Temporary Professed Brothers have or will renew their vows this summer and Br. Luis Ramos will profess his Final vows at Mt. St. Michael Academy next Saturday. Likewise, she must be grateful in knowing that there are now more than 200 committed Marists of Champagnat (Lay Marist Adult Formation) in our USA Province."

We pray for all our Marist Brothers around the world, that they continue to carry out St. Marcellin Champagnat's mission with Mary as their loving model.
